Scholarship for Accounting Students "Competitive merit and need - based awards of up to $5000 for outstanding accounting students who, in the opinion of the NCPACA Selection Committee, show significant potential to become Certified Public Accountants."
Thank you for expressing an interest in the NCPACA Scholarship for Accounting Students. These Scholarships are awarded by the NCPACA and funded by the AICPA through the Minority Initiative Committee.
NCPACA Scholarships for Accounting Students are available only to full-time undergraduate and graduate students at regionally - accredited institution.
Awards are primarily based on merit (academic achievement); financial need is evaluated as a secondary criteria.
Undergraduate Student Eligibility To be eligible for an undergraduate scholarship, you must be:
Declared accounting major (this must be indicated in your transcript) with an overall and accounting grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5; A student who has satisfactorily completed at least six (6) semester hours, or 90 quarter hours or equivalent college work, including at least twelve (12) semester hours (or equivalent) in accounting; and Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours or equivalent) at a four-year or upper division institution.
Graduate Student Eligibility To be eligible for a graduate scholarship, you must be:
A graduate who is in accounting program, or who was an accounting major and is presently accepted in a masters-level accounting, business administration, finance or taxation program or who had undergraduate major and is presently accepted in a masters-level accounting program; and enrolled as a full-time student (nine semester hours or equivalent)
Official Academic Transcript An Official Academic Transcript is required. The transcript must indicate that you are an accounting major and it must contain grades for at least sixty (60) semester hours (90 quarter hours) or equivalent including at least 12 major hours of accounting.
Payments Awards are made for the academic year following application, and will be sent directly to the school for credit to the account of the Student Recipient.
